Produce up to 20 two colour Christmas Cards
Learn how design, cut and carve and print a two colour lino print using a baren for print the linocuts
This is an enjoyable print making process with exciting pleasing results.
Cost of cards and envelopes are 40 pence each.
Tea and coffee provided. Please bring a packed lunch. There are also cafes and shops nearby.
Course Content.
1. Design and print a two colour Christmas card linocut.
2. Using tracing paper draw an image on to each sheet of tracing paper separating the two different planned colours for the finished Christmas image.
3. Transfer image onto the lino and start carving the first image.
4. Once the first lino has been cut, it can be inked up and printed to test out how it looks.
5. Start carving the second lino.
6. Once both pieces of lino are ready the Christmas cards can be printed.
This will be explain in full on the day of the workshop.
Images will be approximately 4 inch squared. All lino plates will be cut to size ready for the workshop.
Registration for printing will be explained during the workshop.
All ink and paper are included in the workshop.
40p for each card and envelope is extra on top of the workshop cost, Thank you.
